Tameside 4 Good Grant Scheme

Since April 2013, we've awarded £169,215.82 to 90 good causes &15 young people in Tameside.

The Tameside 4 Good grant scheme is committed to funding young people, aged 5 - 25 years old, and good causes right here in Tameside. Grants of up to £500 are available to individuals who want to undertake an activity that benefits them and their community, with grants of up to £4,000 available to local community groups.

Please note, if you have already applied and been successful for a Tameside 4 Good Grant, you cannot re-apply.

Projects must meet one or more of the following priorities:

  • Developing skills, education and employment
  • Alleviating poverty, hardship and social exclusion
  • Improving the lives of people with long term illness / disability
  • Activities for disadvantaged children and young people
  • Improving health and wellbeing of older people

We are also particularly interested in helping groups who meet one or more of these priorities to help themselves with fundraising either through community fundraising or building relationships with local businesses to secure resources to meet local needs.

The Tameside 4 Good Fund ‘Grants for Individuals’ programme will consider requests to fund opportunities that will enable a young person to learn and/or develop new skills or take part in a character building experience or activity.

Currently closed for applications. Round 8 will be open for applications later this year.

For more information, contact Tameside 4 Good on Email: grants@tameside4good.org or Tel: 0161 339 2345

When we award a grant, we expect individuals and groups to monitor and report on their progress. If you have received a Tameside 4 Good grant, please download the end of grant form.

The money for the Tameside 4 Good grants has been made possible due to the fantastic fundraising efforts by local people and businesses along with the release of a number of dormant Charitable Trust funds that Tameside Council, as a big supporter of Tameside 4 Good, has made available to local good causes.
